What is Tangled?
Tangled is a private app for couples. It gives the two of you one cozy place for your memories, a daily question, quizzes, private notes, date ideas, trips and anniversaries, plus a gentle AI mediator for the harder days.
How do we get started?
Tap “Create your space” and sign up in a minute. Then invite your partner with the private link Tangled gives you, and your shared space opens for both of you. You start on the Free plan with no card, and can upgrade whenever you're ready.
I already have an account. How do I get in?
Tap “Open Tangled” at the top of this page and sign in.
How does my partner join?
Once you've signed up, Tangled gives you a private invite link and code to share with your partner. When they accept, your shared space opens up for both of you.
Is what we share really private?
Yes. Tangled is private by design: no public profiles, no ads, no behavioural tracking, and your content is never sold. Notes you keep about your partner are visible only to you. If you'd like more, turn on end-to-end encryption and not even we can read it.
Is Tangled end-to-end encrypted?
If you want it to be. It's optional, on every plan, and either of you can turn it on (turning it off takes you both). Everything you write is locked on your devices with a passphrase the two of you share, and you choose whether photos, videos, dates and places are locked too, so Tangled only ever stores a scrambled copy. Keep your twelve-word recovery phrase safe: lose it and the passphrase, and nobody can bring your content back, not even us. AI is the exception: what you send to an AI helper is read to answer you.
Which devices does Tangled work on?
Any modern phone, tablet or computer. On iPhone or Android you can add Tangled to your home screen so it opens just like an app.
Is Tangled good for long-distance couples?
Very. Share status notes and voice notes, answer the daily question together, plan your next visit and count down the days until you're in the same place again.
Do we need to be in a relationship?
Tangled is made for two people who are together, whether it's been three weeks or thirty years. One of you signs up, then invites the other with a private link whenever you're both ready.
