One plan per couple
Whoever checks out pays for both of you and looks after the card, the invoices and auto-renew. The other partner can take billing over before a renewal.
Billed once a year
The plan itself renews yearly. AI add-ons are monthly, so you can add or drop one as the two of you go.
A failed payment isn't a cliff
If a payment doesn't go through, everything keeps working while we retry. Nothing changes overnight.
Nothing is ever deleted
If a plan ends, you move to the Free plan: everything stays there to read and to export, what Free doesn't include turns read-only, and renewing brings it all back.

What's in the Free plan?
Home, Memories, Relationship, Quizzes and Date Ideas, with a few limits: 15 memories, 3 custom anniversaries on top of your important dates, 10 date ideas, the daily question plus one new quiz and five discussion messages each a day, and 500 MB of storage. No card is needed and there's no time limit. My Partner, the calendar, date search, trips, Talk it out and the AI helpers come with Tangled Couple. They stay in the app, locked, so you can see what's waiting.
Do we both need to pay?
No. One subscription covers the two of you. Whoever subscribes becomes the billing owner and the other partner simply walks in.
What happens when the free trial ends?
Your plan starts and the card you added is charged. You'll know the date before you start, and you can turn auto-renew off at any point during the trial.
What is the AI taster?
A small pot of AI time included with every subscription, enough to try the date ideas, the memory polish and the mediator. If you use AI often, an add-on gives you a bigger pot.
What's the difference between AI Plus and AI Max?
AI Plus is a bigger pot for the everyday AI helpers. AI Max is bigger again and adds the planners that go off and work on their own: the travel planner, the event search and AI images.
Can we cancel?
Any time. Turn auto-renew off and the plan runs to the end of the period you've paid for, then you move to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted and you can export everything.
What if we have more than the Free plan allows?
Nothing is deleted. Your oldest 15 memories, 10 date ideas and 3 custom anniversaries stay editable, the rest turn read-only, and the tabs Free doesn't include open read-only. You can still read, export and delete everything, and renewing unlocks it all again.
What if we break up?
Ending the relationship cancels the subscription and refunds the unused part of the year. You keep a window to export everything you made together. With end-to-end encryption on, download your export before you end things: it can't be made afterwards.
Does end-to-end encryption cost extra?
No. It's on every plan, Free included, and stays off until one of you turns it on.
Where do we pay?
On the web, through Stripe. Cards are handled by Stripe and never touch our servers. The phone apps read your plan but never sell anything.
